You’ve decided to become a surrogate, and when you first told your family, they may have been shocked. “Wait, you want to do what?” But here’s the funny part—family support for surrogacy shouldn’t surprise you at all! This decision fits who you are more than they realize.

You’ve always been the caregiver, the one who volunteers, and you loved being pregnant. Surrogacy is just another way for you to show compassion and give back. While your family might have been caught off guard at first, they’ll quickly see this is the perfect fit for you.

They’ll Be Proud and Amazed

At first, your family may not understand, but soon they’ll be amazed by your selflessness. Helping someone else bring a child into the world will become something they admire. This journey gives your loved ones, especially your children, a chance to learn about different families, the joy love creates, and the true meaning of generosity.

Surrogacy Involves the Whole Family

Most surrogates get support from their closest family members—moms, sisters, husbands—who join them in the delivery room. These loved ones will see the magic of surrogacy firsthand. They’ll watch your bravery, dedication, and the beautiful journey you’ve taken for the intended parents.

Everyone will feel the tears of joy, the hugs, and the overwhelming sense of fulfillment. This isn’t just your journey—your family shares in this life-changing experience.

From Shock to Support

Your family may have been shocked when you first mentioned surrogacy, but they’ll soon realize how perfectly it suits you. As they see you go through this incredible journey, they’ll appreciate the courage it takes to give the gift of life. They’ll cheer you on and support you every step of the way.

In the end, becoming a surrogate not only changes you, but also everyone who loves and supports you. Your family will stand proudly by your side, inspired by your act of generosity.

One of the common concerns about surrogacy is whether you’ll be able to balance it with your job.

Surrogacy and Work Can Coexist

Surrogacy and work coexist smoothly when you work with a surrogacy agency. Much of the process takes place virtually, allowing you to complete interviews via video conference and meet intended parents through an agency-facilitated match meeting. You can easily fit a few hours for applying, interviewing, and attending educational sessions around your schedule.

Key Appointments and Flexibility

You’ll first attend an in-person medical screening, including lab tests, blood work, drug testing, and a uterine evaluation. Since the timing depends on your menstrual cycle, you’ll need some flexibility with work for this appointment and any travel. Don’t worry, travel costs are covered. After that, you’ll attend a few monitoring appointments to check hormone levels and the lining of your uterus. You can schedule these quick appointments early in the morning, allowing you to minimize time off from work.

Planning for the Embryo Transfer

The embryo transfer is another key appointment. Your IVF doctor provides a calendar predicting when this will happen, so you can request time off with advance notice. Whether you drive or need to travel (which is covered), you’ll rest after the procedure to give the embryo the best chance to implant. Once pregnant, you’ll have a few more visits with your IVF doctor before moving on to your regular OB-GYN for prenatal care.

Surrogacy and Work: A Balance

If you worry about balancing surrogacy with your job, rest assured—you can manage both with the right planning, strong family support, and a workplace that encourages your journey. You can successfully balance your career and your role as a surrogate.

You Can Do Both!

Every pregnancy requires a good work life balance. With the right planning, strong family support, and a workplace that encourages your journey, you can successfully navigate both your career and your role as a surrogate.

If you’re considering surrogacy or have any concerns, we’re here to guide you every step of the way. Together, we can make dreams come true!

Welcome back to our myth-busting series. Today, we’re diving into a big one—Myth #4: Surrogates are Only in It for the Money. Let’s break this one down and get to the heart of what really motivates these incredible women.

Let’s Get Real

Okay, first things first—yes, surrogates do receive compensation for their incredible journey. But if you think that’s the only reason they do it, think again. The women who choose to become surrogates are driven by something much deeper than just a paycheck. They’re motivated by compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help create families. Imagine the pure joy of handing a newborn to parents who have been dreaming of that moment for years. That feeling? It’s absolutely priceless.

Why Compensation Matters

At Choice Surrogacy, we totally understand that compensation plays a role in this journey. After all, being a surrogate is a huge responsibility—it’s 24/7 care for someone else’s child from the moment of conception to the day of birth. That’s not just a job; it’s a calling. And yes, the financial aspect helps. For many surrogates, the compensation can make a significant difference in their lives. It might go towards saving for a future goal, paying off debt, funding their own children’s education, or even starting a small business. Sometimes, it simply allows them to spend more time with their own kids while they’re young instead of working full-time.

But here’s the thing—the money is just one piece of the puzzle.

A Mission of Love

Being a surrogate is about so much more than financial gain. It’s about love, compassion, and making a real difference in the world. These women are not just carrying a baby; they’re carrying the hopes and dreams of a family. The decision to become a surrogate often comes from a deep desire to help others experience the joy of parenthood, something that might not have been possible without their selflessness.

At Choice Surrogacy, we were actually the first to ensure that surrogate compensation was fair and equitable, matching what surrogacy professionals receive for coordinating the entire process. We believe that respect and balance are key when it comes to the financial aspects of surrogacy.

Beyond the Dollars

But let’s talk about the real reward—the personal satisfaction and growth that comes from being a surrogate. Imagine the strength and determination it takes to carry a child for someone else, and then the overwhelming joy of seeing that child in their parents’ arms. That’s a moment that no amount of money can buy. It’s a feeling that stays with you forever, knowing you made a profound impact on a family’s life. The experience is transformative, and the personal growth that comes with it is immeasurable.

So, the next time you hear someone say that surrogates are only in it for the money, you can confidently say that while the compensation is important, the true motivation is something far deeper—a genuine desire to help others and make a lasting difference in the world.

Any pregnancy carries some risk, but choosing a surrogate pregnancy conceived via IVF is no riskier than any naturally conceived pregnancy.

It’s natural to have questions and concerns, and we’re here to help you get the answers you need.

Consult the Experts

To address your questions and concerns, you should seek the consultation of your doctor or request that the surrogate agency assist you in speaking to an IVF specialist who can provide detailed information. It’s important you do your own research in advance to determine if gestational surrogacy is right for you.

Healthy Embryos, Healthy Pregnancy

The intended parents’ embryos are genetically tested to ensure the healthiest possible baby. While a single embryo transfer cannot completely eliminate the risk of a multiple pregnancy (as an embryo may split into twins), the success rates of having one healthy baby versus twins or triplets have improved dramatically over the past decades. You’ll conceive your pregnancy with an IVF specialist and then transition to your local OB-GYN for the remainder of your pregnancy.

Comprehensive Medical Care

If there are any pregnancy concerns, we at Choice Surrogacy®, along with the intended parents, want only the best medical care for you and their child. Any and all medical care that you might need will be provided. So, rest assured, do your homework, and feel confident before committing to an agency if you have any hesitations about health risks.

We’re Here to Support You

At Choice Surrogacy®, we believe in providing complete support throughout your journey. From the moment you consider becoming a surrogate to the birth of the baby, we’re with you every step of the way. We ensure that you have access to top medical professionals, the necessary resources, and a supportive community.

Surrogacy is a generous and incredible journey, and we want to make sure it’s as safe and positive as possible for you. So, if you’re considering becoming a surrogate, know that we’re here to answer your questions, provide the care you need, and support you every step of the way.

Contact us today to learn more about how we can help you embark on this life-changing journey with confidence and peace of mind. Together, we can make dreams come true!

Short answer: You will not be stuck with medical bills!

When you become a gestational surrogate with Choice®, you’ll be provided with financial protection from the intended parents. Their attorney will draft a contract outlining their legal responsibility for all your financial expenses. This means your medical bills, insurance costs, and even travel expenses are all covered. You’re creating and carrying their pregnancy, so it’s only fair they handle the costs.

At Choice Surrogacy®, we’re also committed to cost containment for the intended parents. We verify insurance coverage before you ever get pregnant to avoid surprises. If an insurance policy must be put in place to insure your pregnancy care, we will assist you in that process. And if any unforeseen issues arise with the pregnancy bills, our assured program steps in to cover anything not included in the initial plan. This way, everyone is protected and prepared.

Comprehensive Financial Protection

When you join our surrogacy program, your financial well-being is our priority. The gestational surrogacy agreement requires that the funds to cover your fees and expenses are deposited into a client expense account fund with Choice Surrogacy®. This means all the money that will be paid to you and for your expenses and medical bills is covered by the intended parents before you ever start medication to become pregnant.

You’re financially protected every step of the way!

Today, we’re diving into Finding Your Perfect Match: How Surrogates and Intended Parents Connect.

This is the fun part and the best part of our job. Let’s explore how we make these perfect matches!

Taking all the time and information we gather about each set of intended parents and all the surrogates we screen, we present profiles to find that perfect match. There are many factors that go into the matching process. It’s part art and part science.

Location: Basic information such as how close the surrogate is to the intended parents and their IVF doctor plays a role.

Personality and Communication Style: Understanding how both parties prefer to communicate and what their expectations are for the process is crucial.

Decision Making:Key factors include the level of contact through the process and after the baby is born, as well as medical decision-making preferences. This includes decisions regarding multiple pregnancies, fetal reduction in the event of twins or triplets, abortion in the event of a birth defect or abnormality, medical procedures during pregnancy such as amniocentesis, and any other medical preferences or requests.

When surrogates and intended parents see each other’s profiles for the first time, there is typically a spark of connection. Often, as the parties get to know each other, they discover shared hobbies, values, and unique qualities that make the partnership feel meant to be.

Each surrogate with Choice Surrogacy is educated about the rewards of the surrogacy journey. You may have a perfect close connection or one that is more formal and respectful, but your reward is the same: knowing the difference you make through your personal actions, regardless of the connection with the intended parents.

So, whether you find a match that feels like an instant best friend or one that’s more professional and courteous, the journey is incredibly rewarding. The impact you make as a surrogate is profound and life-changing for the intended parents. At Choice Surrogacy, we’re here to help you find that perfect match and support you every step of the way.
