Surrogate Timeline

Complete initial inquiry to verify your basis qualifications for surrogacy.

Once Choice® has approved your inquiry you will gain access to complete the comprehensive application.

Receive your application approval from Choice®. 

Schedule in-depth education and information session with Choice® owner Trish Taylor.

Help Choice® request your medical records from your OBGYN office and hospital where you delivered your children.

Owner, Trish, meets you {and your partner if applicable}.

You and your partner (if applicable) submit program forms and additional documentation for further screening and qualifications needed by Choice®.

Insurance verification process and health insurance plan is created for your pregnancy care.

Choice will manage you and partners (if applicable) background investigation.

Complete psychological evaluation and interview with your partner (if applicable) and you, not your partner, will undergo the testing part with an independent mental health professional

Receive profile of intended parents.

Attend matching introduction video call facilitated by Trish Taylor.

Agree to work with intended parents.

Obtain life insurance with Choice® insurance agent facilitating the process. 

Intended parents IVF doctor will give an approval of your prior pregnancy and delivery medical records.

Medical clearance screening with intended parents IVF doctor.

Receive medical clearance.

Review Legal gestational agreement with your independent attorney (paid for by intended parents).

Once legal contracts are executed, your monthly expense allowance begins.

Intended Parent Timeline

Schedule initial consultation with Trish Taylor Choice® owner. 

Consultation with reproductive attorney to understand the gestational carrier agreement and legal parentage process.

Inform Choice Surrogacy® that you would like to proceed the search for a gestational surrogate. 

Receive profile of potential gestational carrier extensive application, results of program screening, psychological screening, and benefit package.

Your chosen IVF doctor will give an approval of your surrogate's prior pregnancy and delivery medical records.

Attend matching introduction call facilitated by Trish Taylor.

Agree to work with gestational surrogate.

Choose Choice® Financial Program - sign retainer agreement and fund first instalment of Client Fund Expense Account.

Gestational surrogate will attend medical screening appt at your IVF doctors office upon approval.

Second instalment of Client Fund Expense Account is due.

Retain Reproductive Attorney and enter legal contract with your surrogate.

Contract drafting, consultation and execution phase (Phase complete gives IVF doctor approval to have gestational surrogate begin medications to ready for the embryo transfer procedure.)

Surrogates and Intended Parents

Surrogate

Begin medication to prepare your body to receive the parents embryos through an embryo transfer takes about 45 days worth of medical protocol.

Travel to attend the IVF transfer (takes minutes in the IVF doctors office).

Take a pregnancy test at day 14 after the transfer  - If pregnant remain in the care of your IVF doctor for the first  ----- weeks of pregnancy. Continue medications to support developing pregnancy. 

If not pregnant additional transfers may need to take place to get pregnant.

When the IVF doctor confirms pregnancy via heartbeat your pregnancy compensation monthly payments begins.

Transition to the care of your local OB of choice that is covered under your health insurance.

Typical pregnancy with standard prenatal visits and screenings.

At around your 15th week of pregnancy the legal team will start working on parental rights and pre/post birth judgements to prepare to name intended parents at the time of the birth.

Near the end of your last month of pregnancy Choice will prepare a birth plan with the parties to outline the desires of all. The birth plan and legal parentage documents declaring the parents are shared with the delivering hospital. A tour of the hospital or conference call is recommended.

Celebrate your surrogacy success story by safely delivering the baby. You will be able to rest in your own private space and parents will have their own room with their new baby. Parents will travel home with new baby when medical cleared to do so and any outstanding legal work needed is complete.

Intended Parents

Attend the IVF transfer (takes minutes in the IVF doctors office).

Wait for confirmation on day 14 after the transfer of positive pregnancy.

If not pregnant additional transfers may need to take place to get pregnant.

When the IVF doctor confirms pregnancy via heartbeat your third instalment of Client Expense Account are due.

Transition to the care of your surrogate's local OB of choice that is covered under her health insurance.

Typical pregnancy with standard prenatal visits and screenings.

At around the 15th week of pregnancy the legal team will start working on parental rights and pre/post birth judgements to prepare to name you as intended parents at the time of the birth.
